Affording PES

We are thrilled you are considering a Palisades Episcopal School education for your family. For most families, investing in an independent school education requires careful financial consideration and planning. At PES, we seek to admit talented and motivated students who will benefit from our educational program, regardless of economic need. Indexed Tuition and scholarship programs are a major commitment of our school.  Families who feel the full tuition cost is out of their reach should not hesitate to visit or apply to PES. We are here to help you determine the best options for your family with this very important educational investment.

INDEXED TUITION

Every family is expected to contribute to the cost of tuition and fees. In order to assess what a family can afford for educational costs, PES uses SSS (School & Student Services) as an objective and independent third party. SSS calculations are the baseline for our Indexed Tuition determinations, but we also take into consideration our School’s policies and the resources available for returning families as well as prospective families.

In order to find the right tuition investment for a family, many factors are considered: income (both taxable and nontaxable), assets, number of dependents, and number of children attending schools that charge tuition. A number of variables are considered when making decisions: medical expenses, earning potential for spouse not employed outside of the home, consumer debt, automobiles, recreational vehicles, second homes, vacation expenses and student enrichment activities.

Merit Scholarship award program
Palisades Episcopal School's Merit Scholarship Award Program is for new students entering grades 5th-8th. Merit Scholarships may total up to $5,000 per year and are awarded to dedicated students with demonstrated high academic achievement as well as strong character and citizenship in their current school. These scholarships are granted without regard to financial need, and once awarded, will apply to the tuition for each academic year the student attends Palisades Episcopal School.
PalisadES Promise
Palisades Promise is a program designed to honor our families' commitment to PES and to show that we understand many of our families make sacrifices to ensure their children are able to continue receiving a PES education. Through the Palisades Promise program, families earn a $100 credit for every year their child(ren) is enrolled at PES. When their student enters 8th grade, his or her tuition is discounted by the total amount of credits earned.
