Congratulations to our May Artists of the Month! Our 3rd grade winner created a mixed-media sculpture entitled “Twisted Tranquility” which was recently featured at the Mint Museum. His wire tree sculpture showcases exceptional talent and creativity, drawing inspiration from the beauty and tranquility of nature through meticulous craftsmanship and innovative use of materials. Our 7th grade winner was inspired by the renowned artist Romare Bearden in making her vibrant collage entitled “A New Break Through,” an interdisciplinary collaboration project with Humanities that showcases a masterful blend of imagery, symbolism and storytelling. Thank you to Pleasant Mill Pediatric Dentistry for sponsoring this program. #peswelldonewednesday

Congratulations to PES Grads of 2020 as they near the end of their high school journey! Today for #pesthrowbackthursday we want to recognize PES Alum Carter Fredericks. Carter currently attends St. Anne Catholic School and has been accepted to Augustana College, Western Carolina University, UNC-Asheville, and East Carolina University, but has ultimately chosen to attend Appalachian State University in Boone, where he plans to major in International Business. Inspired by his recent travels to Germany last year, Carter hopes to study abroad while in college as well. #pesalumni
